The Brampton Inn, a beautiful 10 acre property in the Adirondacks, is the passion project if two NYC professionals that decided that there's more to life than just the daily grind. These guys are going for it and we hope they succeed.
"The Brampton is a secluded lodge situated on the Hudson River amongst 10 acres of woodland tucked away in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains; it's 15 mins from the best and largest ski resort in New York, Gore Mountain, and 20 mins from the 32 mile long and stunning Lake George." - from www.thebramptonnyc.com.
About a month ago, we met one of the owners, Jeff, through our meetup group. Jeff was looking for ways to spread the word about The Brampton and we were looking for affordable and fun lodging partners for the Shredshare community.
"This idea was born from our feeling that, we as New Yorkers, are spoiled in so many ways in terms of art, culture, restaurants, theatre etc.. but frustrated in terms of accessible, affordable getaway experiences into nature." - from owners Jeff and Jamie.
After meeting with Jeff we quickly realized The Brampton was trying to offer something genuine and of value. So we wanted to spotlight The Brampton and share their story.
Next time you're heading up to Gore and Whiteface, during any of the four seasons, be sure to check out The Brampton. And when you do, you'll quickly find that it's more than just a quality night's sleep. You'll get an entire experience. Jeff and Jamie put in the time to show you a good time. The Brampton has a van that can transport you from the city to the lodge, if you can't find a carpool. They'll also get you access to discounted lift tickets in the winter and discounted wake boarding in the summer. There's an enclosed hot tub, full kitchen, more than ample living space, bunks and private rooms, a pool table, and they'll shuttle you out to Lake George and the Gore Mountain too.
In the mean time, drop them a line and explore more of what they have to offer on their website and below. And tell them Shredshare sent you!
